Resumo: | Global governance is about bringing together diverse social actors in search of solutions to common problems. The present research sought to demonstrate the path adopted by multiple social entities that aim to create a global consensus on social and environmental responsibility. The achievement of the intended results was delineated through the discussion between the concept of global governance and social responsibility. This research intends to present the world actions for the protection of society and the environment, as well as to demonstrate how these actions are built and established by the various stakeholders. |

O presente trabalho buscou demonstrar o caminho adotado por múltiplos entes sociais que objetivam criar um consenso global acerca da responsabilidade social e ambiental. O alcance dos resultados pretendidos se delineou mediante a discussão entre o conceito de governança global e da responsabilidade social. Este trabalho pretende apresentar as ações mundiais em prol da proteção da sociedade e do meio ambiente, além de demonstrar como essas ações são construídas e estabelecidas pelas diversas partes interessadas. O estudo se desenvolveu por meio da análise de trabalhos teóricos e de discussões sobre a temática, utilizando pesquisa bibliográfica de artigos e normas nacionais e internacionais. A partir da análise da situação problema, demonstrou-se que iniciativas como a norma ISO 26000 podem contribuir para o estabelecimento da governança global, verificando que a norma estudada relaciona as ações dos diversos entes da sociedade que buscam, pela união de esforços, a solução de problemas comuns.
