Resumo: Lagoinha B is - or should be - a housing complex formed by 66 houses, in the city of Lagoinha-SP. The works began in 2018. Less than a year later, the construction company responsible abandoned the works. It is not known where the five million nine hundred thousand reais destined for construction went. 66 families remain without the right to housing. The construction site has become what artist Robert Smithson would call "backwards ruins" because the structures began to collapse before they were even ready. This essay is part of Lucas Gervilla's doctoral research entitled Aesthetics of Abandonment: Abandoned Places, Ruins, Memory and Art, under development at the Institute of Arts at UNESP.

No se sabe dónde fueron los cinco millones novecientos mil reales destinados a la construcción. 66 familias siguen sin tener derecho a la vivienda. El sitio de construcción se ha convertido en lo que el artista Robert Smithson llamaría "ruinas al revés", ya que las estructuras comenzaron a colapsar antes de que estuvieran listas. Este ensayo es parte de la investigación doctoral de Lucas Gervilla titulada Estética del abandono: Lugares abandonados, ruinas, memoria y arte, en desarrollo en el Instituto de Artes de la UNESP.Lagoinha B é - ou deveria ser - um conjunto habitacional formado por 66 casas, na cidade de Lagoinha-SP. As obras começaram em 2018. Menos de um ano depois, a construtora responsável abandou as obras. Não se sabe onde foram parar os cinco milhões e novecentos mil reais destinados à construção. 66 famílias permanecem sem direito à moradia. O canteiro de obras se converteu em um cenário que o artista Robert Smithson chamaria de “ruínas ao contrário”, pois as estruturas começaram a ruir antes mesmo de ficarem prontas.
