Resumo: Observe the detail. Irrefutable invitation. It is precisely from the fractures opened by the details that this paper aims to investigate. Specifically, the one that the Minimal Art movement, with its well-defined theoretical and plastic assumptions, allows us to glimpse discursive inconsistencies. Considering the theoretical dispute engendered from the quarrel between Donald Judd e Robert Morris in the 1960’s, this paper seeks to question the limits of Minimal argument of specificity opposing it to the notion of disquieting object after observing a footnote within the process of historicization of this artistic movement. Thus, starting from this detail, that passes by the most attentive eyes, that this paper questions discourses of certainty that cross historiography about Minimal Art, aiming to contribute to the broader debate around this movement.

Considerando, entonces, el choque teórico generado por la disputa entre las obras de Donald Judd y Robert Morris en la década de 1960, esta reflexión busca cuestionar los límites del argumento de la especificidad del Minimal Art, oponiéndolo a la noción de objeto perturbador aparte de una nota al pie de página en el proceso de historización de este movimiento artístico. Es a partir de este detalle, que va más allá de los ojos más atentos de la crítica y la história del arte, que este texto se propone cuestionar los discursos de certezas que atraviesan la historiografía del Minimal Art, con el objetivo de contribuir al amplio debate sobre este movimiento.Olhar para o detalhe. Especificamente aquela em que a Minimal Art estadunidense, com seus pressupostos teóricos e plásticos aparentemente bem delimitados, permite-nos vislumbrar inconsistências discursivas. Considerando, pois, o embate teórico engendrado a partir da querela entre as obras de Donald Judd e Robert Morris nos anos 1960, esta reflexão busca questionar os limites do argumento da especificidade da Minimal contrapondo-o à noção de objeto inquietante a partir de uma nota de rodapé no processo de historicização desse movimento artístico.
