Resumo: | The article presents initial results of the master's research developed by one of the authors on Google Workspace for Education (GWE), a Google LLC merchandise, produced especially for education. The system, created in 2006 by Google LLC project manager Zach Yeskel, had its first large-scale deployment at Arizona State University (ASU). However, Brazil, in 2013, was Google's first major "laboratory" in the area of education, even before being released to the world public, when more than 4 million students from the public network of the state of São Paulo began to use a set of tools that were presented as innovative instruments aimed at facilitating school practices, as well as providing greater interaction between schools and administrative bodies. This set of tools was launched in 2014 under the name Google Suite for Education. The article, derived from documental research, aims to share elements that contribute to the understanding of the process by which a private capital company will influence decisions on educational policies within the scope of the Integral State, acting in the conformation of a type of education for the formation of a new type of worker and greatly influencing the direction and practices inherent in the education of working-class sons and daughters and, therefore, impacting their own future. |
