THE BECOMING-PERIPHERY OF THE WORLD: CAPITAL’S CRISIS AND THE PERIPHERAL CONDITION

Resumo: Abstract:  The present article intends to suggest an interpretation for the present moment of the reproduction of capital that seems to engender a specific condition, a kind of new time of the world, in which the front of defense for the survival of the capital is not restricted only to the factory but, on the contrary it explodes and implodes, reaching the totality of social space. This moment generates (i) one specific form of space production, marked by precariousness; (ii) a form of daily life carved by a damaged experience; (iii) a form of social domination that reaches the whole sphere of life. In view of these confluences, the article suggests the idea of ​​a peripheral condition capable of capturing the predicate of this time. Ce moment génère (i) une forme spécifique de production de l'espace, marquée par la précarité ; (ii) une forme de vie quotidienne sculptée par une expérience endommagée ; (iii) une forme de domination sociale qui atteint la sphère entière de la vie. Au vu de ces confluences, l'article suggère l'idée d'une condition périphérique capable de rendre compte du prédicat de ce temps. Este momento gera (i) uma forma específica de produção do espaço marcada pela precariedade; (ii) uma forma de vida cotidiana talhada por uma experiência danificada; e (iii) uma forma de dominação social que alcança toda a esfera da vida.
