The issue addressed in this dissertation is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Productive Chain starting from the interdependency and interconnectivity among the many stakeholders linked directly or indirectly to the company s business. Sharing this thought at the Supply Chain level becomes a new challenge in this very competitive market. The goal of this research was to evaluate the Sustainability project and Corporate Responsibility of Belgo Arcelor (nowadays ArcelorMittal - Juiz de Fora s Plant) that becomes a fundamental reference in an important productive sector, where recommended actions correspond to the reality of each supplier that participates on the project. The methodology used to address this specific case was bibliographic research, queries and interviews. So the objective is to see the importance of management change and the conciliation of social development and reinforced competitiveness. The result of the research showed that the Value Chain is inseparable from Sustainability and from the contribution it may bring to the economical prosperity and to the quality of the social environment of the community. The junction between socialenvironmental quality and social-economical development by a performance management based on Corporate Social Responsibility makes initiatives like these, milestones of fundamental importance, such as in theory, as well as empiric and social.
