Resumo: This dissertation has tried to diagnose the production planning and control system in a pharmaceutical industry, to propose and apply PPC manufacturing improvement performance. The DMAIC was used as a mean to identify improvement opportunities and resolve problems as it was a disseminated concept in the company. The research was the literature review and the study of the case. Throughout the search, metrics were selected and monitored, analyzing a superior result in manufacturing tasks after the implemented improvement. The conclusions point to the necessity of communication outflow improvement in the company and show the benefits in the process indicators use for PPC area, to ensure the external customer satisfaction.

O método DMAIC foi utilizado como meio de identificar oportunidades de melhoria e solucionar problemas por ser um conceito já disseminado na empresa. O trabalho constitui de revisão da literatura e estudo de caso e, no decorrer da pesquisa, métricas foram selecionadas e monitoradas verificando resultado superior nas operações após as ações tomadas.
