This work consists a reading of the narratives of the Angolan writer and anthropologist Ruy Duarte de Carvalho (1941 - ), specifically leaned over the novels Os Papéis do Inglês (2000) and As Paisagens Propícias (2005), trying to observe, above all, the relationships among the knowledge fields of the Anthropology and Literature and the ficcional exploration that makes the author of its, considering the representation and memories of a colonial past and the speculation concerning the Angolan contemporarity. Trying to recover the substracts which the author represents literarily some of models of apprehension of the Angolan cultural diversity and social space, this work search also the dialogue with the different medias and discursive bases summoned by the work of Ruy Duarte of Carvalho, in order to establish in that measured his narratives could be considered a type of theoretical challenge to the traditional delimitations and hierarchies among different knowledge modalities. Intend to demonstrate this way that the association among an epistemology of the Social Sciences or Humanities and the process of the formation and expansion of a colonial world, verified in such novels, it is projected on the present of the said post-colonial societies, evidencing the permanence of an occult base of colonial power hidden by the rhetoric of the modernity , as suggest Walter Mignolo, that sustains in all the possible dimensions social, politics and cultural the coloniality of the contemporary knowledges and powers. Seeking this, theoretical references were collected so much in the domains of the Social Anthropology, especially in some works of the specialists involved with a conceptual revision of his practice, from the second half of the 20th century, as in the fields of the calls Cultural Studies, in whose methodological direction this work interferes, when considering the sociological unfoldings of the literary phenomenon. Finally, it fits to emphasize that this work search to establish links between the narratives of Ruy Duarte de Carvalho and the whole of the contemporary Angolan novels, intends reveal some of the new ficcional cartographies with the ones wich writers of that country have been trying to affirm his singularity and to reinforce the multiple identities that conform that space
