The text discusses the link between the Covid-19 pandemic and cases of feminicide registered in Pará, based on the analysis of journalistic narratives published by the G1 Pará in 2020 and 2021. The argumentative starting point is the observation of the absence of systematization records of feminicides and violence against women during the pandemic. Initially, we noted the lack of systematization of records of feminicides and violence against women during the pandemic. Then, we discuss the structural character of gender violence and feminicide as the maximum expression of these oppressions. Examination of the journalistic coverage revealed two main aspects: first, most of the news addresses femicide as the tragic fate of its victims, placing emphasis on the scenes of these crimes; second, only the reports on surveys of records and occurrences established a link between the increase in cases of feminicides and the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
