Narrative strategies of the Unhappenings in the contemporary press: exploratory research on the newsmaking of unmarked facts in the newspapers O Estado de São Paulo and Folha de São Paulo

Resumo: This article investigates, using an exploratory methodology, the narrative strategies engendered by the Unhappening’s scope in the informative coverage of the São Paulo press, from 2015 to 2020. Specifically, it maps, in the newspapers O Estado de São Paulo and Folha de São Paulo, the techniques of journalistic verification triggered by such matrix in the coverage of unmarked facts. As a production code contrary to traditional newsmaking, guided by the everyday life of ordinary men, Unhappening assumes its own news dynamics, beyond the positivist grammar that conforms professional routines. In this study, quantitative analysis is combined with an interpretative discussion of news texts taken as references for reflection on the potentialities of the Unevent in contemporary reporting.

Enquanto código de produção à revelia do newsmaking tradicional, orientado pela cotidianidade do homem ordinário, o Desacontecimento assume dinâmicas noticiosas próprias, para além da gramática positivista que conforma as rotinas profissionais.
