Resumo: | Two types of constructions with matrix predicate were selected ( parecer and achar/crer) to show their tendency to grammaticalization and desentencialization, as they, detaching from their embedded clause, decategorize themselves like attitudinal satellites. These constructions differ from each other in relation to argument status of embedded clause (subject and complement) and they resemble each other, as they codify the speaker’s subjective attitudes (evidentiality/epistemic modality). This syntactic shifting affects complex construction, turning it from biclausal into monoclausal. |

Essa alteração sintática afeta a construção complexa, que, de biclausal, passa a monoclausal.Universidade Federal Fluminense2006-12-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uff.br/gragoata/article/view/33220Gragoatá; Vol. 11 No. 21 (2006): Linguistic usageGragoatá; v. 11 n. 21 (2006): Usos linguísticos2358-41141413-9073reponame:Gragoatáinstname:Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)instacron:UFFporhttps://periodicos.uff.br/gragoata/article/view/33220/19207Copyright (c) 2019 Gragoatáinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessGonçalves, Sebastião Carlos Leite2020-08-18T23:29:09Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/33220Revistahttps://periodicos.uff.br/gragoataPUBhttps://periodicos.uff.br/gragoata/oai||revistagragoata@gmail.com2358-41141413-9073opendoar:2020-08-18T23:29:09Gragoatá - Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)false |
