Resumo: In two particularly impressive moments of history of the epistolography, Pêro Andrade Caminha (1520-1580), one of the most important poets in the XVIth-century Portuguese Literature, wrote about the Christian mariage. It was a new subject in which Caminha emulated and expanded the Horatian model of verse epistles. The two letters of Andrade Caminha – the first, adressed to Alexandre Farnese, and the second one to D. Miguel de Noronha – has taken as reference the epithalamy, a literary genre dedicated to bride and groom.  According to this, it is possible to investigate the conception about the mariage subject as a true friendship and, in complementary perspective, the poetry as an aristocratic and spiritual value. ---DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22409/gragoata.2018n45a1028.

---DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22409/gragoata.2018n45a1028.Universidade Federal Fluminense2018-04-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionAvaliado pelos paresapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uff.br/gragoata/article/view/3357410.22409/gragoata.v23i45.33574Gragoatá; Vol. 23 No. 45 (2018): Literature and Democracy; 251-277Gragoatá; v. 23 n. 45 (2018): Literatura e Democracia; 251-2772358-41141413-907310.22409/gragoata.v23i45reponame:Gragoatáinstname:Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)instacron:UFFporhttps://periodicos.uff.br/gragoata/article/view/33574/19561Copyright (c) 2018 Gragoatáinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessShibata, Ricardo Hiroyuki2019-08-23T11:12:46Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/33574Revistahttps://periodicos.uff.br/gragoataPUBhttps://periodicos.uff.br/gragoata/oai||revistagragoata@gmail.com2358-41141413-9073opendoar:2019-08-23T11:12:46Gragoatá - Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)false
