Resumo: Gisberta Salce Junior, a Brazilian transexual woman, was murdered in February 2006, in Porto, by a group of 14 teenagers. This case, widely reported by the Portuguese press, originated at least two literary pieces: Indulgência Plenária (2007), by Alberto Pimenta, and Pão de Açúcar (2018), by Afonso Reis Cabral. This paper discusses the compositional strategies of both works for representation of the diverse violence forms Gisberta suffered throughout her life and particularly by the time right before her death.
