Tradition and feminine desubjectivation in the world-sense aesthetic of Ana Paula Tavares

The study analyzes the text “A menina dos ovos de ouro”, by Ana Paula Tavares (2004), highlighting how the writer organizes her writing by establishing a dialogue between two different traditions, the Western and the Angolan ones. The writer uses a process of transcreation that allows us to read his writing from the notion of poetics of relation, proposed by Édouard Glissant (2005). The hypothesis is that, by relating two cultural traditions, the writer goes deep into the meaning of symbolic violence (Bourdieu, 2002) that makes up daily lives of women, making a social critique and, at the same time, humanizing them, due to the depth with which he reads the Western and Angolan traditions.
