Resumo: | This text aims to discuss and present some concepts that guide the historian's craft. Ongoing research leads the historian researcher to deal with guidelines and mishaps that the source provides. Pedro Nava offers us as a source memories, our intention is to represent the twenties of the last century, for such in apropriaremos Beira-Mar (1978) that the six works is that more emphasis this time. Pedro Nava nos oferece, suas memórias. Nossa pretensão é representar os anos vinte do último século, para tal, nos apropriaremos de Beira-Mar (1978) que das seis obras é a que mais enfatiza esse período. Percebe-se o quanto o sujeito pertence ao meio e como ele o envolve fazendo-se parte do próprio espaço. O memorialista que passeia pela cidade e em sua rememoração nos descreve seu espaço físico torna-se além de sujeito das memórias um agente histórico. Nos vestígios de sua obra trabalharemos com o objetivo de representar sua vida citadina e por consequência a sua história, a de seus contemporâneos, suas rupturas e transformações em choque com o tradicional.
