Resumo: It is my purpose, with this paper, to identify and characterise the main current conceptions,  on  the  one  hand  of  history,  archaeology  and  art  history,  and  on  the  other hand  of  cultural  heritage  and  museology.  Therefore,  I  wish  to  highlight  the  different currents  of  historiography;  the  traditional  cultural  heritage  and  museology  (modern paradigm),  the  new  cultural  heritage  and  the  new  museology  (neo-modern  paradigm), the  post-modern  cultural  heritage  and  museology  (post-modern  paradigm).  This  is followed  by  the  assumptions  and  practices  associated  with  the  new  history,  the  new cultural heritage and the new museology, whose specific efficacy I underline in terms of cultural regionality and, from a broader and cross-cutting perspective, of the correlation between  the  latter  and  other  vectors  of  the  social  reality  overall  (leisure  and  tourism, local and regional development)
