Resumo: The present paper deals with the intellectual affinities established between Walter Benjamin and Bertolt Brecht. Beginning with the theoretical reading of the latter concerning what is concentionally called epic theater, it is pointed out not only the resonances of such a theoru in Benjaminian thougth about historical time but also, and mainly, the concept of interruption as a common denominator of those affinities.
