TRANFORMATIONAL BODIES: The transface in Brazil

Resumo: This article articulates the dynamics transformability capture of bodies and genders diversities with the double bind manifestation of transface in Brazilian Performing Arts. To this end it: 1) Introduces my Transformational Body concept; 2) Characterizes transface, establishing theory against it; 3) Maps, through bibliographic analysis, notions of representation and representativity; 4) Investigates, through historiography, genealogies of this practice. These elaborations are transfeminist decolonial propositions.

Para tanto: 1) Introduz meu conceito de Corpo Transformacional, apresentando discussões sobre ontologias e epistemologias transgêneras; 2) Caracteriza a facetrans e expõe tensões em torno dela, estabelecendo teoria cênica contra a mesma; 3) Mapeia, via análise bibliográfica, distintas noções de representação e representatividade ligadas à facetrans; 4) Investiga, via historiografia, possíveis genealogias e reestruturações desta prática.
