Resumo: ABSTRACT: The article discusses the practical actions of a team of the Family Health Program-PSF in a city of the Northeastern Brazilian region and, it reveals the lack of integration/articulation of those actions with the educational dimension. The disarticulation of the team members’ knowledge of health on the theoretical, methodological and philosophical principles of PSF is pointed as one of the determinant of the little involvement of the team work with the educational area. the analysis of the collected data was accomplished through the technique of the critical Analysis of the speeches that led to the empiric category: contradiction theoretical x practice in the actions of the health teams of the Family Health Program. El desarticulación conocimiento de los miembros del equipo' de la salud en los principios teóricos, metodológicos y filosóficos de PSF se señala como uno del determinante de la pequeña implicación del trabajo del equipo con el área educativa. el análisis de los datos recogidos fue logrado con la técnica del análisis crítico de los discursos que ése condujo a la categoría empírica: práctica teórica de la contradicción x en las acciones de los equipos de la salud del programa de la salud de la familia. PALABRAS-CLAVE: Educación en la salud; Programa de la salud de la família; Enfermería de Salud Publica.RESUMO: O artigo discute as ações práticas de uma equipe do Programa de Saúde da Família - PSF em uma cidade do interior nordestino e, revela a falta de integração/articulação dessas ações com a dimensão educativa. A desarticulação dos conhecimentos dos membros da equipe de saúde sobre os princípios teóricos, metodológicos e filosóficos do PSF é apontada como um dos determinantes do pouco envolvimento do trabalho da equipe com a área educativa. A análise dos dados coletados foi realizada através da técnica da análise crítica dos discursos que conduziu à categoria empírica: contradição teórica x prática nas ações das equipes de saúde do Programa de Saúde da Família.
