Resumo: The Hematopoetic Stem Cell Transplantation is very complex and demands a specialized nursing assistance. Therefore this text has a clear goal which is to describe in reflexive way the nursing practice inside the hematopoetic stem cell transplantation setting. The role of the nurse in the area is essential and it involves a lot of responsability for caring and it includes support to the patients and their families during the transplant, as well as the recovering period by monitoring and analyzing the transplant recipient's condition. The nurse also prevents adverse events and carries out many kinds of therapeutic intervention. Main member of multiprofessional team, the nurse works with other professionals joining experience and knowledge to benefit the patients and the families. The nursing care developed in the HSCT is total and it is centered in the patient needs, searching for individualized, competent and complete care.

Por ello, este texto tiene como objetivo describir la manera reflexiva la práctica de enfermeira em el TCTH. El papel de la enfermera durante el processo de TCTH es fundamental, representa muchas responsabilidades em el cuidado e incluye apoio a los paciente y familiares, durante el transplante y la fase de recuperacion, por el monitoreo de lãs alteraciones de sus condiciones vitales y realización de una série de intervenciones terapéuticas. Miembro esencial del equipo multidisciplinario, la enfermera trabaja junto a los demás profisionales, reuniendo experiências y conocimientos técnicos y científicos para el beneficio de los pacientes y familiares. El cuidado de enfermeria dessarollado em el STCTH es integral, centrado em lãs necessidades de los pacientes y buscando uma atención global, competente e individualizada. O transplante de células-tronco hematopoética (TCTH) é bastante complexo e requer uma assistência de enfermagem especializada. Desta forma, este texto tem como objetivo descrever de forma reflexiva a prática de enfermagem em transplante de células-tronco hematopoéticas. O papel do enfermeiro no cenário de TCTH é fundamental, envolve muitas responsabilidades no cuidado e inclui apoio aos pacientes e familiares, durante o transplante e na fase de recuperação, pelo monitoramento das alterações de suas condições vitais e realização de uma série de intervenções terapêuticas. O cuidado de enfermagem desenvolvido em STCTH é integral, centrado nas necessidades dos pacientes e na busca por um atendimento global, competente e individualizado.
