Juventude e escola: um estudo etnográfico atravessado pelas noções de corpo e subjetividade

Resumo: | This ethnographic research was conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic, a period strongly marked by the course of the disease, from the suspension of classes to the adoption of practices such as remote teaching, hybrid teaching, and later, the gradual return to in-person activities with rigorous safety protocols. It aimed to examine youth and their interactions at CEPI Professor Pedro Gomes School, located in the Campinas neighborhood in Goiânia, considering social markers of difference such as gender, sexuality, race, and social class. The central objective is to understand the relationship between youth and school, intersected by notions of body and subjectivity. Its path found, in the relationships of and with the youth, an itinerary capable of providing an understanding of adolescence and youth, permeated by a set of forces and disputes within the school, as well as in what it represents. These relationships reverberate meanings, experiences, and lived realities in the social markers of difference, as a way in which things resonate, both from a subjective and objective methodological point of view. Participant observation was a path taken by this research. The modus operandi of this movement has numerous dynamics, from interaction during breaks, in the cafeteria, in the corridors, to conversations in teachers' rooms, with the other agents that underpin the school. Furthermore, as an important structuring part, I created an elective course in the 2022/1 semester, with the participation of around 24 youth aged 15 to 18, from the 2nd and 3rd grades. Using a qualitative methodological approach, the elective was designed based on conversations with students, experiences as a school director, as well as dialogues with teachers. In this process, posters, infographics, and a three-episode audiovisual production were created, with themes structured by students as body, youth, and subjectivity. Through these dialogues, it was observed that students understand various dissonances within and outside the school. Additionally, a series of drawings were developed throughout the research journey, recorded in the field diary, which sensitively depicted a sensory portrait of life at the school. In this dimension, the experiences observed and reported in this work find a starting point in the body and corporeality, as it is where youthful identities are constructed. Furthermore, it's worth noting that this research is characterized as a multimodal ethnography, as the multiplicity of platforms and practices that marked the trajectory of the field experience create a path where drawings, texts, photographs, videos, and infographics are interconnected to produce a multisensory experience. |

O objetivo central é compreender a relação entre juventude e escola, atravessadas pelas noções de corpo e subjetividade. Seu caminho encontrou, nas relações dos jovens e com os jovens, um itinerário capaz de proporcionar uma compreensão sobre a adolescência e juventude, permeada por um conjunto de forças e disputas na escola, bem como naquilo que ela representa. Essas relações reverberam significados, experiências e vivências nos marcadores sociais da diferença, como um modo como as coisas ressoam, tanto do ponto de vista subjetivo quanto objetivo e metodológico. A observação participante foi um caminho trilhado por essa pesquisa. O modus operandi desse movimento tem inúmeras dinâmicas, desde a interação nos intervalos, no refeitório, nos corredores, passando pelas conversas nas salas dos professores, com os demais agentes que alicerçam a escola. Além disso, como parte estruturante importante, criei uma eletiva no semestre 2022/1, com a participação de cerca de 24 jovens de 15 a 18 anos, da 2ª e 3ª séries. Valendo-se do caminho metodológico qualitativo, a eletiva se desenhou a partir das conversas com os estudantes, das experiências como diretor da escola, bem como diálogos com os professores. Nesse percurso, foram feitos cartazes, infográficos, bem como uma produção audiovisual em três episódios, cuja temática foi estruturada pelos estudantes como corpo, juventude e subjetividade. Por meio das interlocuções, foi observado que os estudantes compreendem diversas dissonâncias na escola e fora dela. Ademais, são desenvolvidos durante todo o percurso da pesquisa um conjunto de desenhos, realizados no diário de campo, que trouxeram, de maneira sensível, um retrato sensorial da vida na escola. Nessa dimensão, as experiências observadas e relatadas nesse trabalho encontram no corpo e na corporalidade uma dimensão de partida, pois é nele que as identidades juvenis são construídas.
