Resumo: | This thesis is closely linked to the line of research entitled "Education, work and social movements" of the graduate Program of the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Goias, and had for objective recover the constitution of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Goiano (FIs Goiano) and its insertion in the scenario of the vocational education, capturing the meanings and representations revealed by the subjects that comprise it. By reconstructing the social and institutional history of Goiás IF sought to reveal the major changes observed, the role he has played in the field of agricultural vocational education and identify among the agents / individuals directly involved in that institution, their results for the training for agricultural productive arrangement. The selected theoretical and methodological procedures are part of a qualitative approach of using a bibliographic and documentary research as well as interviews with the managers of the institution and subject teachers from three offerors campus (Ceres, Rio Verde and Urutaí), beyond analysis of a manager of another institution of the Federal Network (external manager). The main theoretical support of this thesis is the Theory of Practice by Pierre Bourdieu sidewalk in operational concepts that compose its praxiology as field and habitus. Through investigative course, conceptions and concepts that show how professional education must pay attention to the charges demanded by the world of work have been identified. The subjects investigated the institution, which had its origin in a specific dedication to agricultural technical training, think and act from multiple determinations and categorizations that shape the perceptions and representations of the new status of the institution, when it becomes Federal Institute Goiás mainly from the multiple qualifications shall be required. |

Ao reconstituir a trajetória social e institucional do IF Goiano, buscou revelar as principais mudanças verificadas, quanto ao papel que ele vem desempenhando no campo da educação profissional agrícola e identificar, entre os agentes/sujeitos diretamente envolvidos na referida instituição, as suas referências sobre a formação profissional para o arranjo produtivo agrícola. Os procedimentos teórico-metodológicos selecionados inserem-se numa abordagem de caráter qualitativo, utilizando-se de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, bem como de entrevistas com os agentes gestores da instituição e docentes de três câmpus ofertantes (Ceres, Rio Verde e Urutaí), além da análise de um gestor de outra instituição da Rede Federal (gestor externo). O principal suporte teórico dessa tese é a Teoria da Prática de Pierre Bourdieu, calçada nos conceitos operativos que compõem sua praxiologia, como campo e habitus. Através do percurso investigativo, foram identificadas concepções e conceitos que revelam como a educação profissional deve atentar-se para as imposições demandadas pelo mundo do trabalho.
