Resumo: "Comparative study between two models of rhythmic improvisation in music therapy and anxiety".The main objective of this study was to investigate the anxiety level of students of the undergraduate program in Music Therapy from the School of Music and Performing Arts of the Federal University of Goiás during the performance of the musical rhythmic improvisation activity using two models of musical improvisation: M1 (model 1) based on technique of musical improvisation proposed by Lopes (2011) and M2 that was adapted from the model of free improvisation described by Bruscia (1999). Therefore, two hypotheses were formulated: The first is that musical rhythmic improvisation raises level anxiety of students and the second is that musical rhythm improvisation model (M1) is less anxiogenic when compared to model (M2). They were included students of both sexes, with age equal or superior to 18 years and regularly enrolled in the subjects Music in Music Therapy 1 and Observation of Clinical Practice 1. For data collection and analysis, in addition to questionnaire of knowledge and musical experience (ICEM) and questionnaire evaluation of the Level of Significance of Music, Rhythm and Activity of Musical Improvisation (ANS) developed by the researchers for the collection of the data of the research, the Inventory of Anxiety Traits and State (IDATE) and the excerpts from reports of participants were recorded on video. The interventions were performed during the class period, with a one-week interval between each model. The results obtained through the application of IDATE - E indicated non - significant in relation to the trait and anxiety state of the participants of the interventions (M1 and M2). According to the reports of the participants about the rhythmic improvisation experiences, considering the two models, they recognized the facilitation of self-perception and the other, with greater emphasis on M1, improved freedom of expression and creativity for the M2, confidence to perform the activity, most outstanding for M1, also present in M2. In summary, although both hypotheses have been refuted, it was believed that musical improvisation is important for the formation of music therapists, since it is not a strengthening of musicality and clinical musicianship, provided it is in any way understood by the student. Still, the two models are valuable in the academic context. The data not predictive and there of the new predictive the potential of this evaluation of this state, has not expressively importance for the practice clinical music-therapy.

Still, the two models are valuable in the academic context. Submitted by Ana Caroline Costa (ana_caroline212@hotmail.com) on 2019-06-05T19:26:00Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertação - Demas Batista da Silva Junior - 2018.pdf: 4672660 bytes, checksum: 7544eaa87c01c1e2a4e271c7497f2e92 (MD5) license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Luciana Ferreira (lucgeral@gmail.com) on 2019-06-07T10:29:51Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertação - Demas Batista da Silva Junior - 2018.pdf: 4672660 bytes, checksum: 7544eaa87c01c1e2a4e271c7497f2e92 (MD5) license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2019-06-07T10:29:51Z (GMT).
