Resumo: The main objective of this dissertation is to provide theoretical research material for high school mathematics teachers on concepts of Financial Calculation, which can be worked on in the classroom. Therefore, it does not focus on the practical bias of the content, but rather theoretical, using mottos, theorems and corollaries, with the respective demonstrations, when possible, in the construction of the material, and elementary definitions, corroborating to correct possible difficulties that may high school teachers have in relation to a more formal specific theoretical concept in the development of the theme in the school environment. There are also current issues such as the new Brazilian Olympic modality, that is, the Brazilian Financial Education Olympics (OBEF), as well as the media perspective, from the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the National Education Council (CNE) on the Financial Education, with the purpose of informing high school teachers to observe the importance of the development of Financial Calculation. In addition, as a specific objective, there will be the resolution of seven problems on theoretical concepts of Financial Calculation, worked on in the first three chapters, if the teacher wants, in principle, to enjoy a more usual increase in the theme. Thus, the general proposal is to provide a source of theoretical research, on various concepts of Financial Calculation for teachers, who have difficulties in relation to theoretical concepts of the theme, in their formal treatments, contributing to theoretical and non-practical exposure itself.

Portanto, não tem como foco o viés prático do conteúdo, mas sim teórico, utilizando-se de lemas, teoremas e corolários, com as respectivas demonstrações, quando possível, na construção do material, e definições elementares, corroborando para corrigir possíveis dificuldades que eventualmente os professores do ensino médio tenham em relação a um conceito teórico específico mais formal no desenvolvimento da temática no ambiente escolar. Nela há também assuntos atuais como a nova modalidade olímpica brasileira, ou seja, as Olimpíadas Brasileiras de Educação Financeira (OBEF), bem como a perspectiva da mídia, do Ministério da Educação (MEC) e do Conselho Nacional de Educação (CNE) sobre a Educação Financeira, com o intuito informativo para os professores do ensino médio observarem a importância do desenvolvimento do Cálculo Financeiro. Além disso, como objetivo específico, haverá a resolução de sete problemas sobre conceitos teóricos do Cálculo Financeiro, trabalhados nos três primeiros capítulos, caso o docente queira, em princípio, desfrutar de um incremento mais usual do tema.
