Resumo: The book A fábrica de cretinos digitais: Os perigos das telas para nossas crianças, written by Michel Desmurget and published in Brazil in 2021, invites the reader to a broad reflection on the impacts of the use of digital screens on child development. Desmurget writes the book at a time when the current generations devote a large part of their lives to interacting with smartphones, tablets, computers, social networks, and television. It is a book that encourages us to think about the physical, mental, and intellectual health of children, youth, and adults, and provokes us to learn to live with and relate to screens in a healthy way.
