Resumo: This paper reports the findings of a study that analyzed the profile of the students compared the distance mode with the presence of the degree course in Physical Education - EF Federal University of Goiás - UFG. A questionnaire was administered to all students who entered the selection process in 2009 with the return of 268 which corresponds to 85.7% in the distance and 40 which corresponds to 51.7% in the face. As a result, we highlight significant differences among socioeconomic and demographic indicators, a greater familiarity of the students in attendance with the Information and Communication Technologies-ICT, and a close relationship with the experience of bodily practices. Media and Physical Education.Este trabajo presenta los resultados de un estudio que analizó el perfil de los estudiantes en comparación con la modalidad a distancia con la presencia de la Licenciatura en Educación Física - EF de la Universidad Federal de Goiás - UFG. Se aplicó un cuestionario a todos los estudiantes que participaron en el proceso de selección en el 2009 con el regreso de 268 que corresponde al 85,7% en la distancia y el 40 que corresponde al 51,7% en la cara. Como resultado, se destacan las diferencias significativas entre los indicadores socioeconómicos y demográficos, una mayor familiaridad de los estudiantes que asistieron a la Información y las Comunicaciones-TIC, y una estrecha relación con la experiencia de las prácticas corporales. Medios de Comunicación y Educación Física.O presente texto comunica o resultado de uma pesquisa que analisou comparativamente o perfil dos estudantes da modalidade a distância com o presencial do curso de licenciatura em Educação Física – EF da Universidade Federal de Goiás - UFG. Foi aplicado um questionário a totalidade dos estudantes que ingressaram no processo seletivo de 2009 com o retorno de 268 que corresponde a 85,7% na modalidade a distância e 40 que corresponde a 51.7% no presencial.
