THE BODY MANIPULATIONS ON THE SOCIAL IMAGE REPRESENTATION OF FEMALE STUDENTS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES

Resumo: | The objective of the work was to analyze the social image of teenage girls in the Physical Education classes of the senior year of High School in a State school in the city of Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paraná, in order to verify the articulations between the representations of the students and the body manipulations produced by them to validate the image demanded in the interactions experienced in class. Referring to the notions of representation and of body manipulations, observations and semi-structured interviews were performed to describe and analyze the attributes of the face presented by the students and the schemes of their acting line in relation to the body manipulations. Having developed the analysis in categories, it was concluded that the representation of the social image of the teenage girls in Physical Education classes is a consequence of the body manipulations performed by them, and the choices of these manipulations are characterized as strategies related to other people in the group and the educational situation. |

El objetivo del trabajo fue analizar la imagen social de niñas (adolescentes) en las clases de Educación Física, en un grupo de de 3º año de la Enseñanza Media de un Colegio Estadual en la ciudad de Marechal Cândido Rondon, Paraná, tratando de verificar la articulación entre las representaciones de las alumnas y las manipulaciones corporales producidas por ellas para hacer valer la imagen requerida en las interacciones vivenciales durante las clases. Teniendo como referencia las nociones de representación y de manipulaciones corporales, fueron realizadas observaciones y entrevistas semiestructuradas para describir y analizar los atributos de la cara presentada por las alumnas y los esquemas de la línea de actuación de ellas con relación a las manipulaciones corporales. Desarrollado el análisis en categorías, fue posible concluir que la representación de la imagen social de las adolescentes en las clases de Educación Física es tributaria de las manipulaciones corporales desarrolladas por ellas y que las elecciones de estas manipulaciones se caracterizan como estrategias relacionadas a las otras personas del grupo y a la situación (educativa).Partindo do fato de que os corpos de maneira geral estão cada vez mais expostos na sociedade atual, esse estudo objetiva compreender quais são as manipulações de imagem utilizadas pelas alunas para fazer valer sua representação, e como esse fato se apresenta nas aulas de educação física. Trata-se de uma abordagem qualitativa, onde os dados foram coletados a partir de observações não participantes e entrevistas semi-estruturadas, analisados de acordo com a técnica de codificação e categorização.
