Resumo: Physical education is emerging in the field of mental health in order to contribute to the therapeutic process of users of mental health services, such as the Centers for Psychosocial Care (CAPS). In this work our objective was to analyze the meanings that users of CAPS, located in Porto Alegre / RS, attributed to the workshop of soccer that took place there. The research is of a qualitative nature and draws on ethnographic perspective. One of the facts that emerged from the workshop of soccer, and it deserved greater attention to analysis, the active participation of users in many moments of the workshop. This increased participation has enabled the participants interesting moments of ownership, little experienced by them in their life histories.

This increased participation has enabled the participants interesting moments of ownership, little experienced by them in their life histories.   La educación física está surgiendo en el ámbito de la salud mental a fin de contribuir al proceso terapéutico de los usuarios de los servicios de salud mental, tales como los Centros de Atención Psicosocial (CAPS). En este trabajo nuestro objetivo fue analizar los significados que los usuarios del CAPS, ubicado en Porto Alegre / RS, que se atribuye al taller de fútbol que tuvo lugar allí. La investigación es de carácter cualitativo y se basa en la perspectiva etnográfica. Uno de los hechos que surgieron del taller de fútbol, y que merece una mayor atención al análisis, la participación activa de los usuarios en muchos momentos del taller. Esta mayor participación ha permitido a los participantes los momentos interesantes de la propiedad, poco experimentado por ellos en sus historias de vida. A educação física vem emergindo no campo da saúde mental com o intuito de contribuir no processo terapêutico de usuários de serviços de saúde mental, como os Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS). Neste trabalho nosso objetivo foi analisar quais os significados que os usuários de um CAPS, localizado em Porto Alegre/RS, atribuíam à oficina de futebol que ali ocorria. A pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo e se inspira na perspectiva etnográfica. Um dos fatos que emergiram da oficina de futebol, e que mereceu maior atenção para análise, foi a participação ativa dos usuários em muitos momentos da oficina.
