Resumo: The comunalidad is a theorical construction for the study of indigenous and peasant groups helps to understand the way the indigenous and peasants groups resist before the reconfiguration of rural environment to local sociopolitical process that enables the peasants and indigenous communities to face the process of exclusion and to be able to continue their traditional way of life. In this sense, the porpoise of this article is to contribute to the constructions of a theorical and methodological elements of the comunalidad, and proposing an analysis and comprehension of the socioenvironmental phenomena that the indigenous communities have to face in their re-created spaces, considering their identity, territory, work, and history. As a conclsuion, it is possible to assert that comunalidad itself   constitutes   a   valid   approach   to   the   current   reality   and   to socioterritorial comprehension. Keywords: Comunalidad, identity, territory.La comunalidad es una construcción teórica para el estudio de grupos indígenas y campesinos, que ayuda a comprender las formas de resistencias que enfrentan ante la reconfiguración del medio rural ante los procesos socio políticos locales, que posibilitan a las comunidades, hacer frente a procesos de exclusión y dar continuidad a las formas de vida tradicionales. En este sentido, el artículo tiene como finalidad contribuir a la construcción teórica y metodológica de la comunalidad, como propuesta para el análisis y comprensión de los fenómenos socioambientales que enfrentan las comunidades indígenas en espacios re-creados, considerando la identidad, el territorio, el trabajo y la historia como categorías de estudio. Se concluye que la comunalidad constituye un enfoque válido para la investigación ambiental, que desde una perspectiva interdisciplinaria conjuga elementos socioterritoriales para la comprensión de la realidad actual.
