Resumo: | Abstracts In this paper, educational inclusion programs and practices are at issue. The research is focused in an emblematic cycle of Brazilian history- the modernist period-, whose visual culture, as for example Oscar Niemeyer’s and Roberto Burle Marx’s classical architectonic works of art are pointed and emphasized. Cultural heritage is also suitably considered in this approach. The research was developed in two basic schools situated in an industrialized peripherical area (Betim), of a Brazilian hinterland metropolis- Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais state capital. Environmental perception concepts support theoretical reflections presented in the research, besides cultural approaches in progress in Human Geography nowadays. Geographical interpretation paradigms, by the way, characterize the research, in close interaction and interlocution with other knowledge fields.
