THE FRENCH-BRAZILIAN BOARDING AREA: SOME GEOGRAPHICAL VIEWS

Resumo: The boarding area by along Oiapock River, between nowadays Amapá Brazilian State and French Guyana, was the stage of a long content litigious amid both countries. This article analyses some geographical views over the region. We began the text with the authority based on the scientific view over the space. By the way, we followed with the official speech of the Brazilian’s government presented to support his mission for colonization and occupation of the northern territory. By other hand, this last official speech was enfaced by popular testimonies of ancient inhabitants of the region, people more worried with their day-a-day survivor than any new expectative to belongs or notbelongs to a national state. We intend to riche this understanding with the speech wrote by Foucault on power and geography and, also, his heterotopy concept. Keyboards: imperialism, power, heterotopy, Amapá, French Guyana

Cet article analyse des diferents points de vue sur cette région et les interpretations géografiques correspondantes à chaqu’un de ces discours. D’abbord, la discution s’occupe du savoir à propos de l’espace fisique présent dans le discours scientifique du géographe. On aborde, ensuite, la version officielle du gouvernement brésilien en ce qui concerne au soutien donné à sa mission d’occupation et colonization de la région, contre laquelle il sera heurté les temoignages des premiers habitants, plutot préoccupés de leur survie cotidienne que de l’appartenance ou construction d’un état ou nation. Cette étude est menée avec l’utilization des notions de géographie, pouvoir et hétérotopie présentes dans la pensée de Michel Foucault. Mots-clefs : impérialisme, pouvoir, hétérotopie, Amapá, Guyane FrançaiseA área de fronteira ao longo do rio Oiapoque, entre o atual estado brasileiro do Amapá e a Guiana Francesa, foi palco de uma longa disputa litigiosa entre os dois países. Este artigo analisa diferentes olhares sobre essa região que denotam formas de interpretações geográficas apropriadas para cada um dos discursos encontrados. Começamos com o olhar de autoridade do geógrafo portador do saber sobre o espaço físico e seguimos com a visão oficial do governo brasileiro em sua missão de ocupação e colonização que será confrontada com os relatos que permaneceram dos primeiros ocupantes do território, preocupados com sua própria sobrevivência cotidiana, para além de qualquer interesse de pertencimento ou construção de formas de estado ou nação. Para isso utilizaremos as analises sobre geografia e poder e também o conceito de heterotopia presente nos escritos de Foucault.
