Resumo: The authors describe the occurrence of on outbreak of CONTAGIOUS FOOTROT in Itapirapuã County, Goiás State, in a herd of approximately 300 sheep and goats, of which 80% were affected. The diagnosis was established by means of clinical observation and laboratory test. Formol at 10% was used as the treatment, with good results.

Os autores descrevem a ocorrência de um surto de pododermatite contagiosa em ovinos e caprinos, no município de Itapirapuã (GO), num rebanho de aproximadamente 300 animais, dos quais 80% foram afetados. O diagnóstico foi estabelecido em função dos exames clínicos e laboratoriais.
