Resumo: | The water restriction conditions in the Brazilian semiarid region are one of the most limiting factors to the establishment and yield of forage grasses. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different irrigation regimes on morphogenetic, structural and productive traits of buffel grass. A randomized blocks design, with five treatments and six replications, was used. Treatments consisted of five irrigation regimes, corresponding to the intervals of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 days. The traits analyzed were: leaf emergence rate, phyllochron, leaf and stem elongation rate, leaf senescence rate, final leaf length, number of green leaves per tiller, number of tillers, stem height, leaf/stem ratio, leaf area index, dry mass of green leaf and stem, dry mass of green, dead and total forage, root dry mass, dry mass and green dry mass/dead dry mass ratio. The final leaf length and dead forage dry mass were not affected by the irrigation regimes. The leaf/stem ratio followed a quadratic model, maintaining the value of 0.51 up to the irrigation regime of four days. The other morphological, structural and productive traits decreased linearly with increasing irrigation frequencies. The irrigation intervals promoted reductions in the morphological, structural and productive parameters of buffel grass, when grown under greenhouse conditions. The irrigation regime of 2 days stands out as the least restrictive to the development of buffel grass. |

Escola de Agronomia - Universidade Federal de Goiás2015-06-22info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.ufg.br/pat/article/view/31361Pesquisa Agropecuária Tropical [Agricultural Research in the Tropics]; v. 45, n. 2, Apr./Jun. 2015; 216-224Pesquisa Agropecuária Tropical (Agricultural Research in the Tropics); v. 45, n. 2, abr./jun. 2015; 216-224Pesquisa Agropecuária Tropical; v. 45, n. 2, abr./jun. 2015; 216-2241983-4063reponame:Pesquisa Agropecuária Tropical (Online)instname:Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG)instacron:UFGporhttps://revistas.ufg.br/pat/article/view/31361/18672Copyright (c) 2020 Pesquisa Agropecuária Tropical (Agricultural Research in the Tropics)info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCoutinho, Maria Janiele FerreiraCarneiro, Maria do Socorro de SouzaEdvan, Ricardo LoiolaSantiago, Franklin Eduardo MeloAlbuquerque, Daiane Rodrigues2020-07-13T16:18:34Zoai:ojs.revistas.ufg.br:article/31361Revistahttps://revistas.ufg.br/patPUBhttps://revistas.ufg.br/pat/oaiaseleguini.pat@gmail.com||mgoes@agro.ufg.br1983-40631517-6398opendoar:2024-05-21T19:56:07.734070Pesquisa Agropecuária Tropical (Online) - Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG)true |
