Resumo: | A tomato leafminer Scrobipalpuloides absoluta control trial with a new insect growth regulator was carried out in Goiânia, Goiás State, Brazil. The azaradictin (Azatin 3%) at 36, 42, and 48 g a.i./ha was compared to abamectin at 14.4 g a.i./ha, Cartap at 480 g a.i./ha, and a witness with no insecticide control. Foi realizado, em Goiânia - GO, 1994, um ensaio de campo visando ao controle da traça do tomateiro Scrobipalpuloides absoluta (Meyrick), utilizando um novo inibidor de ecdise de origem vegetal. O azaradictin (Azatin 3%) nas dosagens de 36, 42 e 48g de ingrediente ativo/ha, foi comparado com abamectin na dosagem de 14,4g de ingrediente ativo/ha, Cartap na dosagem de 480 g de ingrediente ativo/ha e uma testemunha sem inseticida. Pelos resultados obtidos concluiu-se que o Azatin 3%, nas dosagens utilizadas, não controlou eficientemente a praga S. absoluta sobre tomateiro.
