Resumo: In Goiás, wholesalers of the “Giant Cavendish” banana use different systems of measuring. This causes constant confusion. This study was undertaken to try to establish empirical formulas which can be used to correlate the diverse systems.

Na comercialização de bananas do sub-grupo cavendishi, em Goiás, utiliza-se de várias unidades de medida. Esta diversidade causa problemas no bom entendimento entre vendedores e compradores. Com a finalidade de estabelecer fórmulas empíricas de transformações de unidades de comercialização, empreendeu-se o presente trabalho.
