Resumo: | Treatments of cucumber plant with jet application (foliar spray and root flood simultaneously) with Nitroguanidin insecticides group (Imidacloprid) eight days after plant germination were highly efficient in controlling the Aphis gossypii (Glover) until 29 days after insecticides application, with 96% - 99% of efficiency as occurred with methamidophos (Standard insecticide) applied in foliar spray weekly. O tratamento das plantas de pepino na forma de esguicho com inseticidas do grupo das nitroguanidinas; Imidacloprid (Confidor 700 GRDA e Confidor 200 SC) em diversas dosagens, aos oito dias após germinação, foi altamente eficiente no controle do pulgão Aphis gossypii (Glover) até 29 dias após aplicação, com 96% a 99% de redução da praga, tendo sido semelhante aos resultados obtidos com a aplicação semanal do padrão metamidophos (Tamaron Br).
