Resumo: | The treatment of eggplant plants with foliar spray application, weekly at 5 days after transplant for the ground, with the insecticide Thiacloprid (Calypso 480 SC) at two dosages, and the treatments with Imidacloprid (Confidor 700 GRDA and Confidor 200 SC) inject application on the plants (foliar spray and root flood simultaneously) at 5 days after transplant were both highly efficient in controlling the Thrips palmi up to 21 days after insecticides application, with 87% and 80% of efficiency, respectively. These results were superior to the data obtained with Metamidophos and similar to Mesurol (standard insecticides) applied in foliar spray weekly. Os tratamentos das plantas da berinjela em pulverizações semanais a partir do quinto dia após o transplantio, com os inseticidas Thiacloprid (Calypso 480 SC), em duas dosagens, e Imidacloprid (Confidor 700 GRDA e Confidor 200 SC), ambos aplicados sob forma de esguicho, em uma única aplicação no quinto dia após transplantio, foram altamente eficientes no controle do Thrips palmi até 21 dias após aplicação, com 87% e 80% de eficiência, respectivamente. Estes resultados foram superiores aos controles obtidos com as aplicações semanais do metamidofós e similares ao Mesurol que foram utilizados como inseticidas padrões para efeito de comparação.
