Resumo: Soil samples from a same continuous of a Dark Red Latosol (DRL) were taken in three different sites that resulted in four treatments: a- Check (original cerrado soil (DRL) under forest), b- original cerrado soil (DRL) under forest + 40 ton ha-1 of bovine manure, c- annually cropped local (DRL) in wavy slope and d - plane place, also cultivated (DRL), with erosion control. Each soil received three liming levels according to the official recommendation for State of Goiás (0, 1 and 2 ton ha-1). The indicative plant was the Calopogonium muconoides. The experimental designs were hazard blocks , in fatorial arrangement 3x4, three levels of lime and 4 types of soils, with four replications. The plant growth was observed through plant height, green weight, dry weight and root length. The treatment effects were observed on residual nutrients in the soil and on absorption of mineral nutrient by plants and on soil exchangeable complex. The production and the development of Calopogonium were affected by the levels of soil fertility, but this leguminous did not respond to the liming. The soil fertility and the liming affected the nutrients absorption, the residual soil fertility after harvest and the exchangeable complex of the soil. KEY-WORDS: Exchangeable cations complex; mineral nutrition; residual fertilization; savannah soils.
