Resumo: | This study was carried out to evaluate the production costs and gross revenue per Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) productionarea unit, in raceway system, in tanks submitted to different water exchange projects, based on ration and fingerlings costs. Nile tilapia fingerlings, reverted to males, were used. They were fed three times a day, ad libitum, with extruded commercial ration. The following economic analyses were carried out: cost incidence, partial net revenue, gross revenue and partial operational cost. The best biomass result found induced the greatest partial net revenue, observed in the treatment in which the highest water exchange (30 minutes) was used. In this treatment, the tanks with 500 L (0.5 m³) of water provided a partial net revenue average of R$ 50.77 equivalent to R$ 101.54/m³, in the period of 120 days.KEYWORDS: High water flow, Oreochromis niloticus, production cost, profitability. |
