Resumo: The object of this article is to demonstrate the relationship between the notion of discoursive formation (M.Foucault and D.Maingueneau) and anthropological trajectory of the imaginary (G.Durand), outlining a model of literary analysis that exposes myth, i.e. the primordial narrative created to explain mystery, or at least one of its smallest significant units as fundament of text. This model may be exemplified through the analysis of Ismália, a poem by Alphonsus de Guimaraens.
