Guimarães Rosa’s “Reboldra”: the insurgence of the “world from behind”

Resumo: This work aims to promote an introductory critical analysis of Guimarães Rosa’s “Reboldra”, a short story from Ave, palavra almost completely forgotten by his readers and scholars. “Reboldra”’st presents a complex overlapping of explicit or just implied narrative threads as well as multifarious meanings that are built along the plot. The exam of Guimarães Rosa’s less valued texts allows revealing certain aspects less found in its “canonical” body of work, such as “Reboldra”’s unhappy ending, which can contribute to the refinement of the literary physiognomy of the creator of Sagarana.

La discusión de los textos menos valorados de Guimarães Rosa hace descortinar ciertos rasgos encontrados con menos frecuencia en su obra “canónica”, como el final “infeliz” de “Reboldra”, lo que puede contribuir al refinamiento de la fisonomía literaria del creador de Sagarana.Este artigo tem o objetivo de promover uma análise crítica introdutória de “Reboldra”, de Guimarães Rosa, um conto de Ave, palavra quase inteiramente esquecido por leitores e estudiosos do escritor mineiro. “Reboldra” apresenta uma complexa superposição de linhas narrativas explícitas ou apenas sugeridas, além de efeitos de sentido múltiplos que vão sendo plasmados ao longo do entrecho.
