Resumo: | In this article, we intend to rescue the magazine Festa, which was part of the important brazilian modernist periodicals. The magazine had two phases, the first consisting of thirteen issues (1927-1929), and the second, of nine issues (1934-1935). Mystical poetry and universalist lyricism are the central points of the movement formed around the Festa, which we focus on here, revealing modernist aspects little explored by critics. We present a discussion of doctrinal texts from the magazine and of poetry published in both phases, with emphasis on the poet Cecília Meireles and the poets Jorge de Lima and Murilo Mendes. |
