Resumo: | Based on a French-oriented discourse analysis, this paper works on the discursive sequences which constitute The March Westward: the Epic Roncador-Xingu Expedition. This book narrates the main events of the expedition carried out by the Villas-Bôas brothers to the interior of Brazil. In this perspective, our study has sought to investigate the linguistic-discursive resources in the narrative, by using the following categories: enunciation scenes and ethos. This dissertation summary presents the research findings regarding the construction process of the euphoric images about the role of the Villas-Bôas brothers who led the Roncador-Xingu expedition. |

This dissertation summary presents the research findings regarding the construction process of the euphoric images about the role of the Villas-Bôas brothers who led the Roncador-Xingu expedition.Este trabajo a la luz de la Análisis de Discurso de orientación francesa se debruzó sobre las secuencias discursivas que constituy en el libro La Marcha al Oeste: la Epopeya de la Expedición Roncador-Xingu, que relata los principales acontecimientos de la expedición que los hermanosVillas-Bôas habían conducido a través de las entrañas del Brasil Central. En esa perspectiva, nuestro estudio objetivó investigar – por medio de las categorías de análisis: cena de la enunciación y ethos – los recursos lingüísticos-discursivos movilizados en la narrativa. Este resumen de disertación se propone a divulgar los hallazgos de la investigación a cerca del proceso de construcción de imágenes eufóricas sobre el rol de los hermanos Villas-Bôas en el liderazgo de la referida expedición. Este trabalho, à luz da Análise do Discurso de orientação francesa, debruçou-se sobre sequências discursivas que constituem o livro A Marcha para o Oeste: a epopeia da Expedição Roncador-Xingu, que relata os principais acontecimentos da expedição que os Irmãos Villas-Bôas conduziram pelas entranhas do Brasil Central. Nessa perspectiva, nosso estudo objetivou investigar (por meio das categorias de análise: cena da enunciação e ethos) os recursos linguístico-discursivos mobilizados na narrativa.
