Bilingualism in conflict positions and identity constructions frames among deaf students in the academic context classroom

Resumo: This is an investigation that is concerned with verifying how bilingual interactions are made between deaf students in an undergraduate course of Letras-Libras, in which Libras, Portuguese and other forms of language are used, including alternating and modal overlapping of codes. In theoretical terms, it seeks to articulate concepts of Interactional Sociolinguistics, Conversation Analysis in an institutional context and Languages in Contact in Interaction, in the micro and macro order, in a relationship with Deaf Studies. The research methodology is qualitative and interpretative, with data recording using an ethnographic investigation method. In the analysis of the data, trans idiomatic practices emerged that are part of the linguistic repertoires of the interactants. The results indicate that students build identities from the focus on the others and the group. Above all, they indicated the co-constructed relationships between students in trans-language practices that impressed the bi/ multilingual character of the classroom. They showed differences in the propensity for students to adhere to the institutional frame, with conflict negotiation relationships and the search for linguistic affirmation between them.

En términos teóricos, busca articular conceptos de Sociolingüística Interaccional, Análisis de la conversación en un contexto institucional y Lenguajes en contacto en la interacción, en el orden micro y macro, en la relación con los Estudios para sordos. La metodología de investigación es cualitativa e interpretativa, con registro de datos utilizando un método de investigación etnográfica. En el análisis de los datos, surgieron prácticas transidiomáticas que forman parte de los repertorios lingüísticos de los interactuantes. Los resultados indican que los estudiantes construyen identidades a partir del enfoque en el otro y el grupo. Sobre todo, indicaron las relaciones co-construidas entre estudiantes en prácticas transidiomáticas que impresionaron el carácter bi/multilingüe del aula. Mostraron diferencias en la propensión de los estudiantes a adherirse al marco institucional, con las relaciones de negociación de conflictos y la búsqueda de afirmación lingüística entre ellos.Esta é uma investigação que se ocupa em verificar como são realizadas interações bilíngues entre alunos surdos em um curso de Graduação de Letras-Libras, em que se faz uso da Libras, do Português e de outras formas de linguagem, incluindo a alternância e a sobreposição modal de códigos na constituição de posições e enquadres de conflito e de construções identitárias. Em termos teóricos, busca-se articular conceitos da Sociolinguística Interacional, da Análise da Conversa em contexto institucional e de Línguas em Contato na interação, na ordem micro e macro, na relação com os Estudos Surdos. A metodologia da pesquisa é qualitativa e interpretativa, com gravação de dados mediante método etnográfico de investigação. Na análise dos dados, emergiram práticas transidiomáticas que fazem parte dos repertórios linguísticos dos interagentes. Os resultados indicam que os alunos constroem identidades a partir do foco no outro e no grupo. Indicaram, sobretudo, as relações coconstruídas entre os alunos em práticas transidiomáticas que imprimiram o caráter bi/multilíngue da sala de aula.
