Resumo: This paper analyzes the concepts of care (Sorge), inwardness (Innerlichkeit) and ecstasy (Rausch) in The Magic Mountain (1924), by Thomas Mann. It deals with the philosophical and literary interpretations that Ernst Bloch developed about the Weimar Republic and aims at showing the transformations and ideological consequences of said concepts in the novel.

El estudio se plantea a partir de las interpretaciones literarias y filosóficas de Ernst Bloch sobre la República de Weimar y se propone mostrar las transformaciones e implicancias ideológicas de estos conceptos en la novela.O presente artigo analisa as noções de cuidado (Sorge), interioridade (Innerlichkeit) e embriaguez (Rausch) em  A montanha mágica (1924), de Thomas Mann.
