Resumo: The kale moth (Plutella xylostella) is an insect that causes brassica production losses, it presents resistance to insecticides resulting in difficult handling and consequently demands greater applications of pesticides leading to the reduction of natural enemies and environmental pollution, in this sense, the research aimed to evaluate the occurrence of Cotesia plutellae parasitoids on P. xylostella (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae) in brassica cultures. analysis of variance, it was found parasitism percentages of C. plutellae on P. xylostella of 43.12%, 26.79%, 20.83 and 13.73% for the Tronchuda, Mustard, KK Cross and Copenhagen Market varieties, in larval stage 1 (L1) the highest average density was recorded when the larvae had the Tronchuda variety as host with 9.92 larvae/plant, being the recorded in Mustard, KK Cross and Copenhagen varieties.

Determinadas populações de P. xylostella expressam resistência à inseticidas resultando no difícil manejo e consequentemente demanda maiores aplicações de agrotóxicos levando à redução de inimigos naturais e poluição ambiental, neste sentido a pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar a ocorrência de parasitoides de Cotesia plutellae sobre a P. xylostella nas culturas brássicas, para o efeito foi instalado um experimento usando o delineamento de blocos casualizados ma área total de 525 m2.
