Although dramaturgy uses dialogue as one of the main ways to present drama and personal relationships solving their problems and conflicts through action, the scenarios are not only stage and physical support for the actions, they can also be the scene, the plot, the characters, antagonist and protagonist, and many times even the conflict itself. In the film "My Uncle", by Jacques Tati, even though there is dramaturgical text, lines, plot, characters, and other conventional elements of dramaturgy, it can be said that the protagonists are the two opposing residences in the piece. For it is in them, by them, and through them that the issues addressed present themselves, conflict, and, as far as possible, are resolved. Thus, this article presents how the spaces of this film dictate not only the way the characters live, but also the construction of the plot narrative, assuming a critical role, shaping the action itself in a caricatured critique of the dogmas of the Modern Movement in Architecture and Urbanism.
