The SAO Maps, or environmental sensitivity maps to the oil spill, are planning tools and implementation of response actions in the event of oil accidents. Whereas the SAO Maps relating to the geological, geomorphological and biological analysis, including socio-economic activities that characterize the occupation of spaces and conditions of oil spill risks, the purpose of this is to analyze the international and national literature with emphasis on the social conditions of human reproduction in their logic of production and organization of space. It was observed that the work does not contain specific analyzes on the form of land use and occupation, given the fragility of the presence of additional variables of socio-spatial information analysis, necessary for the consolidation of integrated public policy guidelines and to mitigate the social impacts.
