The implementation of the new curriculum of Teresina in the component of Geography and its impacts on teaching practice

The present work is based on the new perceptions about the Teaching of Geography and its learning expectations within the Curriculum Guidelines of the Municipality of Teresina. Thus, this research has the general aims of analyzing the impacts of the implementation of the new Teresina Curriculum in the area of ​​school geography in that municipality. To do so, it was necessary to verify how school managers are guiding teachers about the new Teresina Curriculum, in the Geography component. The applied methodology consisted of a bibliographical survey, documental analysis regarding the curricular construction and application of questionnaires with the purpose of understanding the interferences of the new curriculum on the actions of the Geography teacher. The results show that teachers are aware of the existence of the Teresina Curriculum and the possibility of using it to align their actions in the classroom. Finally, it is hoped that this research will contribute to a new look at this topic.
