Impacts of event tourism in an ecotourism destination: renewal of the tourism offer in the municipality of Bonito / MS

The Tourism of events is an important way to dribble the tourist seasonality, characteristic of the destinations whose main offer is leisure. In the municipality of Bonito / MS, consolidated as an ecotourism destination, events have become an important source of tourism. This work had the main objective to understand the process of consolidation of the municipality of Bonito / MS as an event destination. To do so, we used as a research method the bibliographic survey, secondary data collection on demand supply and a field survey that culminated in the application of a semi-structured interview to the leaders of the Convention Bureau. As a result, it was possible to perceive that event tourism in the municipality is well structured and consequently prepared to grow within the perspectives and external opportunities that generate, in the sector of events, a tendency towards decentralization, and a greater search for destinations such as Beautiful. However, the need for research maturity is identified in order to understand if the alterations identified in the tourist demand supply will have the power to significantly change the tourist use that today happened in that territory.
